The new episodes, of this its fifth season, are released from September 30 on the Canal Viajar with the chapter dedicated to the “Canary Wine

Wineman is a television program that shows the world of wine in a professional, educational and casual way. Its 5th season premieres this Monday, September 30 on the different television platforms where the Channel Travel is broadcast. The success of this format, in previous seasons, has led him to cross borders and also broadcast on the 24 Kitchen (Portugal) and ETB chain among others.

The visible face of Wineman is Joaquín Gálvez Bouzá, winemaker and professor, passionate about wine, who visits a wine region in each chapter of the series, as a “road movie”. In a pleasant way, it deals with matters of a historical, geographical and cultural nature that have determined the origin of its wines, and parallels are made with other agri-food products, to better understand the climate and skills of each area.

The first chapter of this season is dedicated to the “Canary Wine” and its filming was performed on the island of Tenerife, and more specifically in some of the Canary Wine Wineries and Vineyards – Viñátigo, Monje and Tajinaste – where Wineman could meet in depth the philosophy that inspires this common brand that allows to project a wine as unique as the canary, while tastings and tastings of Canarian Potatoes and Canarian Cheeses were made, by the hand of the expert Lola García Martín and Marichu Fresno ( Scientific Director of the Canary Islands Institute of Agricultural Research ICIA).

Taking advantage of the end of the chapter dedicated to the “Canary Wine”, the PDO Canary Islands has organized the “Canary Wine by Wineman Night” in Dis-Tinto Madrid, in the capital of Spain. A commented tasting of quality Canarian wines made by Wineman himself.

The project was supported by the Government of the Canary Islands through the public company Gestión del Medio Rural de Canarias (GMR) within the Volcanic Experience, Vidrieras Canarias S.A. (VICSA) and Cajamar Caja Rural.
